Comprehensive API Inspections Across Alaska
K Corp Reliance Company (KRC) is proud to have undertaken a large-scale inspection project in South-East Alaska, encompassing a range of facilities across multiple Alaskan locations. Our work included API 653 tank inspections and API 570 piping inspections, ensuring adherence to strict industry standards and providing actionable, detailed reports to maintain operational safety and regulatory compliance.

API 653 Internal and External Inspections: Comprehensive visual and ultrasonic thickness (UTT) examinations of tank shells, nozzles, and floors, along with magnetic flux leakage (MFL) analysis and tank settlement surveys.
API 570 Piping Inspections: Thorough assessments, including visual inspections, UT examinations, and updates to flow diagrams and corrosion monitoring locations (CMLs).
Locations Served:
Cordova: In-service inspections of tanks.
Craig: Full scope including tank and piping inspections.
Juneau: Internal tank inspections and piping evaluations at terminals and float docks.
Ketchikan: External inspections of tank systems and terminal piping.
Kodiak: A mix of in-service and out-of-service inspections for multiple tanks.
Petersburg, Skagway, and Sitka: Comprehensive piping and tank inspections.
Scale of Work:
This large-scale operation involved multiple facilities, with inspection tasks tailored to each location’s needs. KRC’s deployment included a team of Authorized Inspectors and ASNT-certified NDE examiners, ensuring every aspect of the project met the highest standards of quality and safety.
